Issue: Under certain conditions, the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) may not display the current tire pressure and temperature on the instrument panel's information center. Instead, it could incorrectly display a temperature and pressure that is much higher than the normal range. This could cause confusion about the actual tire pressure. Driving a vehicle with tires that are not properly inflated could cause poor handling and/or a tire failure. Note: The TPMS warning telltale will continue to function as designed and will alert you if the tire pressure is too low. This recall only affects motorhome chassis equipped with a SpartanLync tire pressure monitoring system. This recall is part of FL-935 (Transport Canada recall 2022-276). Safety Risk: Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: REV Group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) authorized service facility to update the TPMS control module software. Additionally, a longer TPMS antenna mounting bracket will be installed on certain motorhomes.

Issue: Certain motorhomes built on a Freightliner chassis could have a problem with the rear-mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM). This could cause the tail lights not to work properly. Note: This recall replaces FL-856 (Transport Canada recall 2020-337). Motorhomes that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: Brake lights or turn signals that do not work could cause a following driver not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking or intends to turn. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: REV Group will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the tire valve stem extensions for the inner wheels may get damaged by contact with the outer wheels. If this happens, the inner tire could lose air pressure. This could overload the outer tire and cause it to fail. Note: This recall replaces FL-861 (Transport Canada recall 2020-493). Motorhomes that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: REV Group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) authorized service facility to remove the inner valve stem extensions.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the fuel rail assembly could develop a leak. Note: This recall only affects motorhomes equipped with a Cummins L9 diesel engine. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Cummins authorized service center to inspect the fuel rail. If damage is found, the fuel rail and fuel lines will be replaced. If no damage is found, the fuel rail will be reassembled with new crush washers using a special tool.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the tire valve stem extensions for the inner wheels may get damaged by contact with the outer wheels. If this happens, the inner tire could lose air pressure. This could overload the outer tire and cause it to fail. Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. REV Group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) authorized service facility to inspect and adjust the inner wheel valve stem stabilizers, as needed. The inner valve stems will be replaced, if required.

Issue: Certain motorhomes built on a Freightliner chassis could have a problem with the rear-mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM). This could cause the tail lights not to work properly. Note: This is an expansion of recall 2018-615. Vehicles that had an inspection, but did not have the PDM replaced under the previous recall, require a second repair under this recall. Safety Risk: Brake lights, marker lights or turn signals that do not work properly could make the vehicle less visible. They could also cause a following driver not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking or intends to turn. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: REV Recreation Group will notify owners by mail and provide a letter from Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA). This letter will instruct owners to take their motorhome to a DTNA authorized service facility to replace the PDM.

Issue: On one vehicle, the bolts that join the steering and tie rod arm to the steering knuckle may not have been properly tightened. This could lead to a separation of the tie rod arm and cause a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify the owner by mail. The owner will be instructed to take the vehicle to a Daimler Trucks North America Authorized Service Facility to have the steering and tie rod arm bolts inspected to ensure they are torqued correctly. New fasteners will be installed as necessary.

Without brake lights, a following motorist may not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks North American (DTNA) will inspect and repair the PDM as necessary.

On certain motorhomes built on a Freightliner chassis equipped with air disc brakes, the brake caliper mounting bolts may be incorrectly torqued. This could result in the caliper bolts loosening, which could lead to the caliper detaching. Insufficiently torqued fasteners may not provide adequate clamping force between the brake caliper and brake anchor plate potentially resulting in reduced brake effectiveness, which would result in increased stopping distances, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks of North America Service Facilities will inspect the bolts, and repair as necessary.

On certain vehicles, a rubber-coated braided power steering hose may have inadequate clearance to the starter power stud due to incorrect routing. This could cause the power steering hose to rub against the stud on the starter motor, which could cause an electrical arc and a power steering fluid leak. A power steering leak in the presence of an electrical arc could increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. A power steering fluid leak could also require additional steering effort which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks of North America Service Facilities will reroute the power steering hose to ensure proper clearance to starter stud.

On certain motorhomes, the wiring for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system could become disconnected. If the wiring for the HVAC system's potentiometer were to become disconnected, there is a risk that the wiring may be reconnected improperly, which could increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the HVAC controller’s existing potentiometer, and either solder the wires or replace the control panel, as necessary. Note: Owners are advised that if the HVAC control panel becomes inoperable for any reason, to not use it or attempt any repairs. It must be inspected and if necessary, repaired or replaced by a certified REV Recreation Group dealer technician.

This could result in the step tread to potentially become unstable, which could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: Dealers will install new screws to properly secure the horizontally mounted plywood cleats to the plywood supporting structure of the interior entry steps.

On certain motorhomes equipped with a heavier weight adjustable straight foot pedal, the brake activation signal to the motorhome’s brake lights and to certain towed devices may not deactivate when the motorhome service brakes are released. This may cause the motorhome brake lights to potentially remain illuminated, which would result in the following road users being unaware of the driver's intentions. Additionally, if the brakes of a towed vehicle were to remained engaged, it could result in a loss of vehicle control. Both of these conditions could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Daimler Trucks North America authorized service facilities will replace the torsion spring of the pedal assembly with an improved spring.
