Issue: On certain digger derricks with solenoid-operated outriggers, the outrigger valve may not be plumbed correctly. This could cause the outriggers to continue retracting after the operator has stopped that command. Operating a digger derrick without all outriggers properly deployed could cause the unit to be unstable. Safety Risk: Operating an unstable digger derrick could create a risk of serious injury. Corrective Actions: Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and instruct them to inspect the outrigger valve plumbing on their unit(s). The company will provide instructions on how to correct the plumbing.
