Issue: On certain RV trailers, the shock bolts may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the bolts could break. If this happens, the bolts and washers could separate and fall from the trailer. Note: This recall only affects certain trailers equipped with Curt touring coil suspensions. Safety Risk: Parts that fall from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Alliance RV will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to replace the shock bolts.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the wrong heating pads may have been installed for the 12 V battery. As a result, the battery could overheat. Safety Risk: A battery that overheats can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Alliance RV advises not to use the 12 V battery heating pads until the recall repairs are completed. Alliance RV will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to replace the heating pads.

Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, the 7-pin trailer connector may not have been wired correctly. As a result, the emergency trailer breakaway switch may not work properly, and the trailer brakes may not automatically apply if the trailer separates from the tow vehicle. Safety Risk: A trailer breakaway switch that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Alliance RV will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to rewire the 7-pin trailer connector.

Safety Risk: A water tank that detaches from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Alliance RV will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to properly secure the fresh water tank. To reduce the safety risk, Alliance RV recommends that you should not fill the fresh water tank until the recall repairs have been completed.

To mitigate the safety risk, Alliance RV recommends that you disconnect the solar panels until the recall repairs are completed.

Corrective Actions: Alliance RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect the fabric roll on the awning. It will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.

Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: Alliance RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to replace the quick disconnect fittings on the propane system and perform a leak test.

As a result, the connections could loosen and cause a short circuit or electrical arcing (sparks). Safety Risk: A short circuit or electrical arcing could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Alliance RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to replace the shore power inlet. To reduce the safety risk, Alliance RV recommends that you should not connect the trailer to power until the recall repairs have been completed.
