  Problème : Ce rappel concerne certaines becquets du hayon arrière accessoires qui ont été installé sur un nouveau véhicule ou vendu en tant que pièce accessoire chez un concessionnaire Volkswagen. Sur certains véhicules, le becquet arrière pourrait être mal fixé au hayon. Il pourrait alors se séparer du véhicule pendant la conduite. Risque pour la sécurité : Un becquet qui se sépare du véhicule pourrait créer un danger pour les autres conducteurs et pour les personnes à proximité. Mesure corrective : Volkswagen avisera les propriétaires par la poste. Les propriétaires touchés devront amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire afin de faire remplacera le becquet du hayon arrière.

  Problème : Sur certains véhicules, il pourrait y avoir un problème avec les ceintures de sécurité du conducteur et /ou du passager avant. Par conséquent, les ceintures de sécurité pourraient se briser lors d'une collision. Risques pour la sécurité : Une ceinture de sécurité qui se brise lors d'un accident peut augmenter les risques de blessure. Mesures correctives : Volkswagen doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter les ceintures de sécurité avant. Les ceintures de sécurité du conducteur et du passager avant seront remplacées, au besoin.

  Problème : Sur certains véhicules, les ressorts hélicoïdaux de la suspension arrière peuvent ne pas avoir été fabriqués correctement et se briser avec le temps. Ce problème pourrait endommager un pneu arrière, ce qui entraînerait une perte d'air rapide et/ou une défaillance du pneu. Risques pour la sécurité : La défaillance du pneu arrière pourrait affecter la manœuvrabilité du véhicule. De plus, un ressort hélicoïdal endommagé pourrait créer un danger pour les autres automobilistes. Ces deux conditions peuvent augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Le constructeur avisera les propriétaires par la poste et leur demandera d'apporter leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer les deux ressorts hélicoïdaux de l'essieu arrière. Si le mécanicien découvre un ressort hélicoïdal endommagé , il devra inspecter les pneus arrière et les remplacer au besoin.

  Sur certains véhicules, il se pourrait qu’un écrou du joint à rotule inférieur soit desserré ou mal serré ce qui pourrait causer le déplacement du joint à rotule et avoir une incidence sur le système de commande de direction, sur la traction ou la stabilité du véhicule. Ce problème augmente le risque d’accident pouvant entraîner des blessures et des dommages matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires doivent remplacer l’écrou du joint à rotule inférieur (boîtier du joint à rotule au roulement de roue/«¿fusée d’essieu¿») sur un côté ou les deux côtés du véhicule et nettoyer les filetages dans la rotule si nécessaire. Note : En attendant que la réparation soit effectuée, il est conseillé aux propriétaires de cesser d’utiliser leur véhicule.   Risque: An insufficiently attached spoiler may separate from the vehicle, becoming a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.

  Risque: The incorrect roof reinforcement may decrease the roof's structural integrity or impact deployment of the side curtain air bags, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

  Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Volkswagen Atlas and Tiguan and 2019 Volkswagen Jetta vehicles that do not have keyless entry. The instrument cluster may not provide an audible warning to let the driver know that the key is still in the ignition when the door is open. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 114, "Theft Protection."

  Risque: If the driver is not notified by an audible noise that the key is left in the ignition, it can increase the risk of vehicle theft or crash.
