  Sur certains autobus, la graisse utilisée dans la boîte d'engrenages coniques Pailton de première génération ne convient pas aux basses températures (­20 degrés Celsius). De plus, de l'eau pourrait s'infiltrer dans la boîte d'engrenages coniques par le joint d'étanchéité, contaminer la graisse et entraîner la corrosion des paliers. La combinaison de ces facteurs (corrosion, huile contaminée et basses températures) pourrait faire augmenter l'effort requis pour tourner le volant et, avec le temps, causer une perte soudaine de direction qui pourrait augmenter les risques de collision pouvant causer des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer la boîte d'engrenages coniques Pailton de première génération par une boîte d'engrenages coniques ZF.

  Sur certains véhicules, l'interrupteur des rétroviseurs (monté sur le tableau de bord) pourrait surchauffer, ce qui ferait fondre le plastique. Un interrupteur qui surchauffe pourrait ne pas permettre de régler à distance les rétroviseurs et, donc, le conducteur pourrait ne pas pouvoir utiliser pleinement les rétroviseurs. De plus, de la chaleur excessive pourrait produire de la fumée dans le tableau de bord, ce qui pourrait déranger le conducteur et causer un accident, endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer l'interrupteur des rétroviseurs.

  ABC BUS Inc is recalling certain 1999-2013 Van Hool C2045, 2004-2013 Van Hool T2145, 2013-2022 Van Hool TX45, 2013-2023 Van Hool CX45, and 2016-2022 Van Hool CX35 vehicles. The front entrance door may have the incorrect glaze on the lower curb view window. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 205, "Glazing Materials."

  Risque: The incorrect glaze may reduce the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: Dealers will inspect and install a nontransparent vinyl cover over the window as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 20, 2026. Owners may contact ABC Bus customer service at 1-877-427-7278. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning April 30, 2026.

  Van Hool N.V. (Van Hool) is recalling certain 2000-2014 C2045, 2016 CX45, and 1998-2013 T2145 vehicles equipped with Ricon Baylift Wheelchair Lifts. When the lift's outer barrier is fully deployed, it may not withstand a sufficient amount of force, which could cause it to fail. As such, these lifts fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 403, "Platform Lift Systems."

  Risque: In the event that a mobility device pushes into the outer barrier, the barrier may fail, increasing the risk of injury for the lift occupant.

  Correctif: Ricon will reinforce the outer barrier with additional supports, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on November 30, 2021. Owners may contact Van Hool's customer service at 1-877-427-7278 or 1-407-656-7977. Van Hool's number for this recall is P1528-SB2067.

  Van Hool N.V. (Van Hool) is recalling certain 2010-2014 C2045 and T2145 motorcoaches, 2014-2015 TX40 motorcoaches, 2014-2017 TX45 motorcoaches, 2011-2015 TD925 motorcoaches, 2014-2016 CX45 motorcoaches and 2010-2013 T2140 motorcoaches. When the vehicle is started in low temperatures, the steering wheel may be difficult to turn.

  Risque: Reduced steering ability can increase the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: Van Hool will notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering box, free of charge. The recall began on February 21, 2017. Owners may contact ABC Bus, Inc. at 1-877-427-7278. Van Hool's number for this recall is P826.

  Van Hool N.V. (Van Hool) is recalling certain model year 2010-2014 C2045 and T2145; 2010 C3045; 2016 CX35; 2014-2016 CX45 and TX45; 2009-2016 TD925; 2015-2016 TDX25 and TX40 and 2010-2013 T2140 motorcoaches. In the affected vehicles, the front steering knuckle carriers may crack.

  Risque: Cracking of a steering knuckle carrier may result in its total failure, allowing a wheel to separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: Van Hool will notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering knuckle carriers that were produced from August 2009 through March 2011. Carriers that were produced from April 2011 to December 2014 will be inspected by ultrasonic measurement and replaced as necessary. These repairs will be performed free of charge.   VAN HOOL IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010-2012 C2045, 2011-2012 T2140, 2010-2011 T2145 AND 2011 TD925 MOTORCOACHES, EQUIPPED WITH MERITOR WABCO ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC) MODULES, MANUFACTURED FROM AUGUST 2005, THROUGH SEPTEMBER 2011. UNDER CERTAIN ROAD AND DRIVING CONDITIONS, VEHICLE BODY ROLL AND ROAD INCLINATION CHARACTERISTICS MAY ADVERSELY AFFECT THE SLIP ANGLE CALCULATION OF THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC) SYSTEM. THIS MIGHT CAUSE THE ESC TO PERCEIVE AN OVER STEERING SITUATION AND THEREFORE APPLY THE OUTER WHEEL BRAKE ON THE FRONT AXLE UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS PERCEIVED TO BE STABLE.

  Risque: THE VEHICLE MAY DEVIATE FROM THE INTENDED LINE OF TRAVEL, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

  VAN HOOL IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2002 THROUGH 2011 TRANSIT BUSES AND MOTORCOACHES MANUFACTURED FROM AUGUST 2002 THROUGH OCTOBER 2010, EQUIPPED WITH HADLEY REMOTE MIRROR SWITCHES, PART NUMBERS 509VH AND 509VH1F. THE REAR VIEW MIRROR SWITCH MAY OVERHEAT, CAUSING THE PLASTIC HOUSING TO MELT.

  Risque: EXCESSIVE HEATING CAN CAUSE A FIRE RESULTING IN SMOKE, OPERATOR DISTRACTION, OR PERSONAL INJURY. AN OVERHEATED MIRROR SWITCH COULD CAUSE THE EXTERIOR REAR VIEW MIRRORS TO NOT OPERATE. THE MIRRORS MAY NOT ADJUST PROPERLY FROM THE INTERIOR SWITCH OR OPERATE POORLY. THEREFORE, THE DRIVER MAY NOT BE ABLE TO HAVE FULL USE OF THE REAR VIEW MIRROR, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

  Correctif: VAN HOOL WILL NOTIFY OWNERS VIA ITS DEALER ABC BUS INC.
