Mesures correctives : Toyota recommande de cesser immédiatement d'utiliser les chauffe moteurs touchés. Toyota signalera le problème aux propriétaires concernés par courrier et leur demandera d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire, afin que le chauffe-moteur soit désactivé. Pour certains véhicules, les mesures correctives liées au présent rappel sont en cours d'élaboration. Pour d'autres, aucun nouveau chauffe-moteur ne peut être installé, si bien que les propriétaires intéressés s'en verront rembourser le prix d'achat.

  Problème : Sur certains véhicules, une exposition à long terme à une température et à un degré d'humidité absolue élevés, combinée à un cycle de température élevé, pourrait dégrader le produit propulsif contenu dans le coussin gonflable avant du passager. Cela pourrait faire en sorte que le coussin gonflable se déploie avec plus de force qu'à la normale. Si le dispositif de gonflage de coussin gonflable se brisait, des fragments pourraient être projetés vers les occupants du véhicule ou endommager le coussin gonflable, ce qui empêcherait le coussin gonflable de fonctionner adéquatement. Risques : Si le véhicule a un accident nécessitant un déploiement de coussin gonflable, le dispositif de gonflage de coussin gonflable pourrait se briser et créer un risque de blessures. Mesures correctives : Les propriétaires seront avisés par courrier d'apporter leur véhicule à un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer le dispositif de gonflage ou module de coussin gonflable avant du passager. Note : Le climat canadien dégrade lentement le produit propulsif. On effectue le présent rappel pour éliminer les risques à venir. On s'attend à ce que les dispositifs de gonflable de coussin gonflable soient remplacés avant que leur fonctionnement ne soit affecté.

  Le moteur des portes coulissantes de certains véhicules pourrait caler dans certaines conditions qui empêchent l'ouverture des portes (p. ex. : porte gelée par la glace). Si le moteur cale, un courant élevé pourrait être généré dans le circuit électrique du moteur ce qui pourrait activer le circuit de protection du moteur de la porte. Dans un tel cas, et si le mécanisme de verrouillage est en position déverrouillée, la porte pourrait s'ouvrir pendant que le véhicule est en marche ce qui augmenterait les risques de blessures aux occupants du véhicule. Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le bloc de raccordement et les faisceaux de câbles des portes coulissantes arrière existants par de nouvelles pièces. Ils devront également poser deux faisceaux de câbles secondaires pour relier le bloc de raccordement aux faisceaux de câbles des deux portes arrière.

  Sur certains véhicules utilisés à des endroits où on épand fréquemment du calcium, la corrosion du câble du porte­roue de secours pourrait causer le détachement de la roue de secours placée sous le véhicule. Si la roue de secours tombait sur la chaussée, cela créerait un danger qui pourrait résulter en un accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : À titre de mesure temporaire, les concessionnaires devront enlever la roue de secours et l'entreposer dans la zone à marchandises du véhicule. Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le porte­roue de secours lorsque les pièces nécessaires seront disponibles. Note : Le présent rappel remplace le rappel 2010-123. Le poids combiné des occupants et de la marchandise, tel qu'indiqué sur l'étiquette de pression des pneus et de charge maximale, ne respecte pas les exigences de la norme. Le véhicule pourrait être surchargé par mégarde, ce qui pourrait entraîner un mauvais comportement routier, augmenter les risques d'accident, endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser une étiquette de pression des pneus et de charge maximale à jour, ainsi qu'une étiquette de remplacement dans le manuel du propriétaire. Les boutons de plastique à l'arrière des sièges de la deuxième rangée, qui identifient l'emplacement des barres d'ancrage UAS, pourraient avoir été posés légèrement à l'extérieur des limites prescrites par la norme. Correction : On a entrepris une modification au niveau de la chaîne de production pour corriger la non-conformité technique. Aucun rappel ne doit être effectué, car on juge que la non-conformité technique n'est pas liée à la sécurité.

  Sur certains véhicules, l'interrupteur des feux de freinage est fixé sur un support soudé sur le support de la pédale des freins de service. Ce support est relativement près de la pédale du frein de stationnement lorsque la pédale du frein de stationnement est enfoncée au maximum. À cause de sa proximité avec la pédale du frein de stationnement, dans certains cas, le support d'interrupteur des feux de freinage pourrait être endommagé par le pied de l'opérateur. Selon l'ampleur de la déformation du support, cela pourrait faire en sorte que les feux de freinage demeurent allumés. Si la déformation était importante, les freins de service pourraient s'enclencher partiellement, ce qui provoquerait une traînée des freins accompagnée de bruits de freins, de vibrations ou de l'illumination du voyant d'avertissement des freins. Si le véhicule continuait à être utilisé dans cet état, une traînée des freins pourrait produire de la chaleur excessive, ce qui pourrait diminuer le rendement des freins, faire augmenter les distances de freinage et causer un accident qui pourrait endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le support de la pédale des freins de service.

These vehicles had their driver or passenger frontal air bag inflators previously replaced under a prior recall using inflators of the same design. The inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling.

  Risque: An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

  Correctif: Toyota will notify owners. Depending on the vehicle model, dealers will replace the front driver inflator, front passenger airbag inflator, the airbag assembly, or the front passenger airbag sub-assembly and inflator. If the power sliding door is unable to be opened when commanded, such as if the door is frozen shut, the door may subsequently open unexpectedly, possibly while the vehicle is moving.

  Risque: If door opens while the vehicle is moving, there would be an increased risk of injury to the vehicle occupants.

The affected vehicles may experience compression of the seat cushion which may damage the seat heater wiring.

  Risque: Damage to the seat heater wiring could cause the wires to short, increasing the risk of the seat burning and causing personal injury to the occupant.

  Correctif: SET will notify owners, and dealers will disconnect the heaters with copper strand heating elements and refund the purchase price of the seat heater accessory, free of charge. The recall is expected to began in January 2015. Owners may contact SET customer service at 1-866-405-4226.

• TIRES:TEMPORARY/EMERGENCY SPARE TIRE#14V273000en anglais seulement22 mai 2014

  Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain model year 2004-2011 Sienna vehicles originally sold in, or currently registered in, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. The affected vehicles have a spare tire carrier assembly mounted under the vehicle whose attachment cable may corrode due to high concentrations of road salt splashing onto the spare tire carrier.

  Risque: If the carrier cable is corroded due to road salt, the spare tire may separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: Toyota sent owners in August 2014 an interim notification to advise owners of the recall and that dealers will perform an interim remedy to remove the spare tire and relocate it to the luggage compartment, free of charge. Owners are being mailed a second letter as parts become available and dealers will replace the spare tire carrier assembly with an improved one, free of charge. The remedy campaign is being performed in phases. The first phase of the recall began July 7, 2015. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. NOTE: 2004-2010 Siennas subject to this recall were subject to recall campaign 10V-160 initiated in 2010. Those owners are advised that they must have their vehicles remedied again under this campaign and that having the earlier recall completed did not remedy their vehicles. Additionally, model year 1998-2003 Siennas were recalled as part of safety recall 10V-160. Owners of those vehicles that have not had not the remedy performed on their vehicles, should contact their Toyota dealer to schedule a free repair.

  Southeast Toyota is recalling certain model year 2008 and 2010-2013 Toyota Tundra, 2010-2012 Rav4, 2012 Toyota Sequoia, 2010-2011 Toyota Corolla, 2010-2011 Toyota Camry and Camry Hybrid, 2010-2013 Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid, 2010-2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser, 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser, 2010-2013 Toyota Venza, 2010-2011 Toyota 4Runner, 2010-2013 Toyota Tacoma, 2011-2012 Toyota Sienna, 2012 Toyota Prius, 2013 Scion FR-S, 2011 Scion XD, 2011 Scion XB, and 2012 Scion TC vehicles. These vehicles were sold with labels that were outside the allowable one percent of accuracy of actual weight added. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

  Risque: An inaccurate label could lead to owners overloading their vehicles and tires. An overloaded vehicle can result in a tire failure which may result in a vehicle crash, personal injury, or property damage.

  Correctif: Southeast Toyota will notify owners and provide a corrected label with instructions concerning its installation.   Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC (SET) is recalling certain models interspersed through model years 2009 through 2013 as follows: model year 2009-2012 Tacoma, 4Runner, Camry, Camry Hybrid, Prius, and RAV4; model year 2009-2010 Avalon, FJ Cruiser, and Highlander Hybrid; model year 2010-2013 model year Corolla, Sienna and Tundra; model year 2009-2013 Highlander and Venza; model year 2012 Prius V; and model year 2010-2012 Sequoia. During modification by SET to include accessories such as leather seat covers, seat heaters or headrest DVD systems, these vehicles may not have had the passenger seat occupant sensing system calibration tested. Without passing the calibration test, the occupant sensing system may not operate as designed.

  Risque: If the front passenger seat occupant sensing system is out of calibration, the front passenger airbags may not deploy or they may deploy inappropriately for the passenger's size and position. This could increase the risk of personal injury during the event of a vehicle crash necessitating airbag deployment.

  Correctif: Southeast Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will test the sensitivity of the occupant detection sensors, and recalibrate them as necessary. The recall began on March 21, 2013. Owners may contact Southeast Toyota at 1-800-301-6859.

THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE FRONT A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL RETENTION CLIP MAY HAVE BEEN DAMAGED DURING THE INSTALLATION OF THE AFTERMARKET ACCESSORY.

  Risque: A DAMAGED A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL RETENTION CLIP MAY ALLOW THE TRIM PANEL TO COME LOOSE AND INJURE AN OCCUPANT IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH.

  TOYOTA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 VENZA AND SIENNA PASSENGER CARS MANUFACTURED FROM MARCH 7, THROUGH MARCH 10, 2011. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE FRONT, RIGHT, DRIVE SHAFT MAY BREAK DUE TO INSUFFICIENT HEAT TREATMENT.

  Risque: SHOULD THE DRIVE SHAFT BREAK DURING VEHICLE OPERATION, THE VEHICLE WILL LOSE POWER WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER WITHOUT WARNING MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.

  Correctif: TOYOTA WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE DRIVE SHAFT, AND, IF THE DRIVE SHAFT IS IDENTIFIED AS ONE THAT MAY NOT HAVE BEEN CORRECTLY MANUFACTURED, IT WILL BE REPLACED WITH A NEW ONE AT NO CHARGE.   TOYOTA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 SIENNA VEHICLES. THE BRAKE STOP LAMP SWITCH IS MOUNTED ON A SMALL BRACKET WELDED ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE SERVICE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY. DUE TO ITS PROXIMITY TO THE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL, IN LIMITED CIRCUMSTANCES THE STOP LAMP SWITCH BRACKET COULD BE DAMAGED BY THE OPERATOR'S FOOT DURING PARKING BRAKE APPLICATION.

  Risque: THIS COULD RESULT IN BRAKE DRAG WITH ASSOCIATED BRAKE NOISE, VIBRATION, AND/OR ILLUMINATION OF THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT. BRAKING EFFECTIVENESS COULD BE REDUCED INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

  Correctif: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE BRACKET ASSEMBLY FREE OF CHARGE. TOYOTA PLANS TO MAIL AN INTERIM OWNER NOTIFICATION IN THE MIDDLE OF JANUARY 2011, TO ADVISE OWNERS OF THE RECALL.   SOUTHEAST TOYOTA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2005-2011 PASSENGER VEHICLES FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 110, "TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS." THESE VEHICLES WERE SOLD WITHOUT THE REQUISITE LOAD CARRYING CAPACITY MODIFICATION LABELS.
