  Sur certaines caravanes classiques, le câble d'alimentation électrique du ou des mécanismes coulissants et des rallonges coulissantes pourrait ne pas avoir été branché correctement durant la construction. Par conséquent, le câblage et le moteur ne sont pas dotés d'une protection contre les surtensions, ce qui pourrait tirer davantage de courant et faire fondre le câble d'alimentation. Les risques d'incendie causant des blessures et/ou des dommages aux biens seraient donc accrus. Correction : Les concessionnaires doivent inspecter le câblage du ou des mécanismes coulissants et recâbler au besoin. Un revêtement anticorrosion doit également être appliqué sur les raccords électriques.

  Sur certaines roulottes à sellette et caravanes classiques, les moyeux de roue pourraient avoir été fabriqués avec des goujons de roue défectueux, ce qui pourrait causer le détachement d'une roue ou plus de la caravane classique et une perte de contrôle du véhicule. Cela augmenterait les risques d'accident pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, au besoin, remplacer les moyeux défectueux.

  Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Surveyor recreational vehicles, model ORSVT247BHDS, manufactured August 10, 2016, to September 13, 2016. The Federal Placard installed on the vehicles indicate an incorrect tire and rim combination. The Federal Placard states that the trailer is equipped with ST225/75R15D tires with 65 PSI and a rim designation of 15X6.0JJ, when actually they have ST205/75R14C tires with 50 PSI and a rim designation of 14X5.5JJ. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

  Risque: The operator may over-inflate the tire based on the information printed on the Federal Placard. Overinflating a tire may lead to pre-mature tire degradation, a tire blowout, or reduced handling, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Surveyor recreational trailers, model SVT226RLDS, manufactured October 9, 2015, to June 9, 2016. The affected vehicles have a Federal Placard that incorrectly classifies the vehicle as a school bus. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

  Risque: If the vehicle is misclassified on the label, it can cause the vehicle to be overloaded, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will replace the incorrect Federal Placard with a corrected placard, free of charge. The recall began on September 12, 2016.   Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2016 Surveyor recreational vehicles, model SVF275BHSS, manufactured from November 4, 2015, through November 11, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the general circuit receptacle may be incorrectly wired, and as a result, too much current may travel through the receptacle.

  Risque: Too much electrical current can cause an electrical arc, and potentially electrocute the user.

  Correctif: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will repair any wiring, breakers, and other items, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on February 19, 2016.   Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2010-2016 Surveyor recreational trailers, models SVT243RBS and ORSVT243RBS. The affected vehicles have Federal Certification Placards that list an incorrect tire and rim size from what is actually installed on the vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

  Risque: If the operator installs tires that are the size that is indicated on the placard, it can cause poor vehicle handling, increasing the risk of a crash.

• ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:FUSES AND CIRCUIT BREAKERS#15V659000en anglais seulement15 octobre 2015

  Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2016 Surveyor travel trailers and fifth wheels, models SVT321BHTS, SVT33RETS, SVT32RLTS, SVT33RLTS and SVT32RETS, manufactured April 13, 2015, to October 6, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the power supply wire for the room slide mechanism may have been incorrectly installed such that it doesn't pass through a circuit breaker.

  Risque: Without the power supply wire being properly connected to a circuit breaker, an excessive power draw or electrical short may result in melted wires and an increased risk of a fire.

  Correctif: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles and correct the power supply wire installation if needed. Damaged power supply wires will be replaced as necessary.   Risque: If the wheel studs break, the wheel could detach from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
