Issue: On a small number of motorcycles, the motor controller may not have been assembled properly. As a result, there could be a power surge in the controller. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the rear wheel. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the rear wheel could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Zero Motorcycles will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the motor controller.

Issue: On certain motorcycles, the key switch wires could break and cause a loss of power. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the rear wheel could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Zero Motorcycles will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update for the motorcycle software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Zero Motorcycles dealership. If any wires are damaged, they will be repaired.

Zero Motorcycles Inc. (Zero) is recalling certain 2023 DSR/X motorcycles. The motor controller may have been built with incorrect fasteners, causing higher resistance at the busbar joint and a loss of drive power.
Risk: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the controller, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 19, 2026. Owners may contact Zero customer service at 1-888-841-8085. Zero's number for this recall is SV-RCL-025-021. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning December 19, 2025.

Zero Motorcycles Inc. (Zero) is recalling certain 2023-2024 DSR/X, 2024 DS, DSR, and DSRP motorcycles. Improperly routed key switch signal wires may break, causing a loss of drive power.
Risk: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: The firmware will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 26, 2025. Owners may contact Zero customer service at 1-888-841-8085. Zero's number for this recall is SV-RCL-025-018.
