Issue: On certain scooters, the bolt securing the camshaft retainer plate could become loose. If this happens, the engine could stall while riding and you may not be able to restart it. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Yamaha advises not to ride your scooter until the recall repairs are completed. Yamaha will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your scooter to a dealership to replace the camshaft retainer plate.
