Issue: On certain snowmobiles, an incorrect seal in the brake master cylinder could cause a brake fluid leak. A fluid leak can cause reduced braking or a loss of brakes. Safety Risk: Reduced brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Yamaha will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your snowmobile to a dealer to inspect the date code on the brake master cylinder. If it is within the identified date range, the master cylinder will be replaced.
