Issue: On certain trucks, the bolts that attach the driveshaft may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the driveshaft could separate from the truck. If this happens, there would be a loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a driveshaft that detaches from a vehicle could create a hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Xos Inc. will notify owners by mail. The driveshaft bolts and related hardware will be replaced at no cost to the owner.

Issue: On a small number of trucks, the compliance label lists a gross axle weight rating (GAWR) for the front axle that's too high. The label should list the front axle capacity as 4480 kg (9880 lb.) instead of 4536 kg (10,000 lb.). This could lead you to overload the truck. Safety Risk: Overloading the truck could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Xos Inc. will mail a new compliance label to each owner. Xos, Inc. (Xos) is recalling certain 2021-2022 SV05 vehicles. The electronic parking brake may malfunction or fail to engage without warning to the driver.
Risk: Electronic parking brake failure may result in a vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.

Xos, Inc (Xos) is recalling certain 2021-2022 SV05 and 2021 SA01 vehicles. The bolts and brackets connecting the hardware to the electronic parking brake system may come loose, causing the parking brake to fail.
Risk: Electronic parking brake failure can result in a rollaway if the vehicle is not in park with the manual park brake engaged, increasing the risk of a crash.

The tire and loading information label has an incorrect front gross axle weight rating, which could lead to an unintentional overloading of the vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 120, "Wheels and Rims-Other than Passenger Car," and 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
Risk: An overloaded vehicle can increase the risk of a crash.

Xos, Inc. (Xos) is recalling certain 2021 RM01, SA01 and 2021-2022 SV05 vehicles. The brake lines may be the incorrect length and incorrectly routed, which can result in a brake fluid leak.
Risk: A brake fluid leak can lead to an increase in stopping distance, increasing the risk of a crash.
