On certain vehicles, a weld on the passenger side exhaust down pipe may fatigue and separate. This could result in hot exhaust gases being released into the engine bay, which could increase the risk of a vehicle fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect, and replace any down pipe found to be cracked. Support brackets will be installed to both exhaust downpipes, along with a catalyst spacer bar, to prevent sway between movement and resulting fatigue.

Certain vehicles equipped with a Remy alternator may develop a low resistance short within the voltage regulator. In some cases, if the circuit does not open, the low resistance short could eventually generate enough heat to result in an engine compartment fire, which could cause property damage or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace any suspect alternator.
