Issue: On certain RV trailers, the compliance label and tire and loading information label don't list the correct tire size. As a result, when the tires are replaced, the wrong tires could be installed. This could cause poor handling and/or a tire failure. Safety Risk: Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Winnebago will mail a new compliance label and tire and loading information label to each owner. If you would like help to install the labels, you can contact a Winnebago dealership to have them installed free of charge.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the cooktop burner could be affected by the operation of the furnace. This could cause the burner flame to invert. Safety Risk: An inverted burner flame could create the risk of a burn injury or cause a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Winnebago recommends that the furnace and cooktop should not be used at the same time before the recall repairs have been completed. Winnebago will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to install a panel between the cooktop and the furnace.

As a result, the wiring could overheat and melt before the circuit breaker trips. Safety Risk: Wiring that melts or overheats could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Winnebago will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to replace the 20 A circuit breaker with a 15 A circuit breaker.

This recall only affects RV trailers equipped with certain Suburban cooktops. Safety Risk: Wiring and/or lights that overheat and melt can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Winnebago will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to disable or remove the LED light rings. To reduce the safety risk, Winnebago recommends that you should disconnect the power for your trailer when it's not used.

Issue: The compliance and tire and loading information labels on certain RV trailers list incorrect information. The labels incorrectly list a rim size of 15x6, the tire size as ST205/75R15D and an axle capacity of 0 kg. The labels should instead list the rim size as 14X5.5, tire size as ST205/75R14D, and axle capacity as 1,588 kg (3,500 lb.). This information could lead you to overload the trailer, which could cause poor handling or a tire failure. Safety Risk: Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and result in a crash. Corrective Actions: Winnebago will mail corrected labels to each owner. If you would like help to install the labels, you can contact a Winnebago dealer to have them installed free of charge.

On certain travel trailers a non-compliance exists whereby the affected trailers were produced with U.S. Tire Information and Cargo Capacity labels rather than the required Canadian formatted labels. The incorrect label may create confusion, possibly leading to the trailer being overloaded, which could affect vehicle handling and stability, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Winnebago will send revised certification labels to current dealers or owners with instructions for proper placement. If owners are not comfortable installing the labels themselves, they can take the label to a Winnebago dealer for installation.

On certain travel trailers, the axle may come in contact with a propane conduit. If this occurs, the propane conduit could crack and result in gas being released without any warning. If the propane gas continues to flow it could potentially ignite resulting in a fire increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and if needed install a protective block to prevent further contact from the axle to the propane conduit.
