Issue: On certain trucks, the brake modulator valves could corrode. As a result, the brakes on one wheel could fully apply when the roll stability control system activates. If this happens, there could be a brake pull that can cause the truck to change direction. Note: This problem does not affect the service brakes. Safety Risk: A brake pull that causes the vehicle to change direction suddenly can increase the risk of crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect, and if necessary, replace the brake modulator valves.

Issue: On certain trucks, the stainless steel cover for the side air-intake on the hood may not be properly attached. As a result, the intake cover could detach from the truck while driving. Safety Risk: An air-intake cover that detaches from the truck could create a hazard for other drivers and nearby people, and could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to replace the side air-intake cover on the hood.

Issue: On certain trucks, the fuel tubes between the fuel rail and the injectors may crack and create a fuel leak. Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with a Cummins X12 diesel engines. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a Cummins authorized service center to replace the fuel tubes for cylinders 4, 5 and 6 and install vibration isolators.

Daimler Truck North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2020-2023 47X and 49X vehicles. The hood bezel covers may detach.
Risk: Detached hood bezel covers may cause a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and install rivets on the hood bezel covers, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 26, 2023. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-951.
