  • Visual System#2020390

    9,867 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles, the nuts that attach the windshield wiper arms may not have been tightened properly. This could cause the wipers to slip and not clear the windshield properly. Safety Risk: Windshield wipers that do not work properly could affect a driver's visibility. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volvo will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to tighten the nuts on the windshield wiper arms.

  • Structure#2019030

    3,816 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with a power operated tailgate, the tailgate lifting arms could freeze and fail. This could create noise and cause the tailgate to stop working. It could also cause the tailgate lifting arms to separate. Safety Risk: If the tailgate arms separate, a spring may be projected rearward and create a risk of injury. Corrective Action: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be advised to take their vehicle to a dealer for replacement of the tailgate lifting arms.

  • Accessories#2018618

    1,461 units affected

On certain vehicles, the Telematics and Driver Support Systems may not function as designed due to a software error. In the event of a crash, this could mean that the Emergency Assist system would not alert Volvo and provide the GPS coordinates of the vehicle. This could create a risk of no response from emergency services. Correction: Dealers will update vehicle software.
