    Issue: On certain trucks, the fasteners that secure the steering arms to the steering knuckles may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the steering arms could loosen and cause a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the fasteners for the steering arms. The dealer will also replace any damaged components, as necessary.

    Issue: On certain trucks, the wheel nut(s) could loosen and cause the wheel(s) to detach. Safety Risk: A wheel separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a wheel that separates could create a road hazard for others. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Volvo Trucks advises you not to drive your truck until the recall repairs have been completed. Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact a dealership to arrange for an inspection of the wheels and hubs. Any damaged parts will be replaced.

    Issue: On certain trucks, the center roof marker light connector(s) may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the center roof marker light(s) may not work. Safety Risk: A roof marker light that doesn't work could make the truck less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Action: Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the center roof marker light(s).

    Issue: On certain trucks, the interior door handle cables may not have been installed properly in the door latches. As a result, the doors may not be able to be opened from inside. Safety Risk: Doors that can't be opened from inside could slow your exit from the vehicle in an emergency and increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the door latch cables.

  • Lights And Instruments#2025489

    Issue: On certain trucks, a problem with the trailer body control module could cause the trailer lights not to work. Safety Risk: Trailer lights that don't work could make the vehicle less visible and cause following drivers not to recognize that the vehicle is braking or intends to turn or change lanes. These issues could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the trailer body control module.

    Issue: On certain trucks, the oversteer guidance feature may not work properly. As a result, in an oversteer situation, the oversteer guidance could cause the steering wheel to turn from side to side by itself. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volvo will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to disable the oversteer guidance feature.

  • STEERING:LINKAGES:KNUCKLE:SPINDLE:ARM#26V444000

    Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2026 VOLVO VAH, VN, VHD, 2026-2027 VNL (4) and VNR (4) vehicles. The steering knuckles may have been manufactured with insufficiently tightened steering arms.

    Risk: A loose steering arm can result in a loss of vehicle steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: Dealers will inspect and tighten the fasteners between the steering arm and steering knuckle, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 27, 2026. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 800-528-6586. Volvo Trucks' number for this recall is RVXX2607. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on July 16, 2026.

  • WHEELS:LUGS/NUTS/BOLTS/STUDS#26V350000

    Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2026 VAH, 2026-2027 VN, VHD, VNL (4), and 2027 VNR (4) vehicles. The wheel lug nuts may loosen and allow the wheel to detach.

    Risk: Wheel detachment can cause a loss of vehicle control or create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

    Remedy: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the repair has been performed. Dealers will inspect the wheel and hub mating surfaces, remove any masking material, and replace any worn components if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 15, 2026. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 800-528-6586. Volvo Trucks' number for this recall is RVXX2606.Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on May 29, 2026.

  • ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY:CABLES#25V332000

    Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Volvo VN trucks. The power cables may have been improperly routed, which can cause an electrical short.

    Risk: An electrical short can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash. An electrical short can also cause the cables to overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will re-route the power cables, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 17, 2025. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 800-528-6586. Volvo Trucks' number for this recall is RVXX2505.
