  • Electrical#2026038

    639 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the electronic parking pawl (EPP) to be released on its own. Additionally, the electronic parking brake (EPB) wiring harness could become damaged and/or corroded. If both issues happen at the same time, the vehicle could roll away when it's parked. Safety Risk: A parked vehicle that rolls away could create the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, VinFast recommends parking the vehicle on a flat surface until the recall repairs have been completed. VinFast will notify owners by email and advise you to take your vehicle to a VinFast authorized service center to update the vehicle software. The service center will also inspect and repair or replace the EPB wiring harness, as necessary.

  • Other#2025517

    3,057 units affected

Issue: Under certain conditions, the lane keeping assist (LKA) feature of the advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) may not work properly. As a result, the steering wheel could move unexpectedly and/or the steering wheel movements may be difficult to override. Safety Risk: An advanced driver assistance system that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of a crash if the driver doesn't intervene. Corrective Actions: VinFast reminds that LKA is only an ADAS feature, and that the driver must pay attention and be ready to take control at all times when the feature is engaged. VinFast will notify owners by email and advise you to take your vehicle to a VinFast authorized service center to update the ADAS software.

  • Airbag#2025006

    2,440 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles, the center airbag in the driver's seat may not deploy properly in certain collisions. Corrective Actions: VinFast will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the center airbag in the driver's seat.

  • Airbag#2024293

    155 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles, the wrong airbags may have been installed during production. As a result, the airbags would not inflate in a crash. Note: This issue doesn't affect the driver-front airbag. Safety Risk: An airbag that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: VinFast will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a VinFast service center to replace the airbags, as necessary.
