On certain motorcycles, continuous operation with the engine in a misfire condition could lead to elevated exhaust temperatures. This could damage the rear brake line, which would increase stopping distances, and damage electrical wiring. These issues could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will re-route the brake line and wiring away from the exhaust catalyst.

This could result in the fuel pump seizing due to insufficient clearance within the fuel pump, which could cause the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. On certain motorcycles, the throttle cable retention nuts may not have been adequately tightened during vehicle assembly. Should they loosen, the throttle may be prevented from opening or closing normally. This could result in a loss of vehicle propulsion or make it difficult to slow or stop the motorcycle unless the clutch lever is depressed. Depending on traffic and road conditions, and the rider’s reactions, either issue could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will tighten the throttle cable retention nuts to the specified torque.

Polaris Industries, Inc. (Polaris) is recalling certain 2010-2017 Victory Cross Country, Cross Country Tour, Cross Roads, Magnum, and Hard Ball motorcycles. If the engine misfires, continued riding may result in heat from the catalytic converter melting the rear brake line and nearby wiring.
Risk: A melted rear brake line can reduce braking performance, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Polaris will notify owners, and dealers will re-route the brake line away from the exhaust catalyst, free of charge. The recall began on November 8, 2017. Owners may contact Polaris customer service at 1-877-737-7172. Polaris' number for this recall is V-17-02.

Polaris Industries, Inc. (Polaris) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Victory Cross Country, Cross Roads, Hammer Eight Ball, High Ball, Jackpot, Vegas Eight Ball, 2014 Victory Cross Country Eight Ball, Cross Roads Eight Ball, Ness Cross Country, 2015 Victory Gunner, and 2013 Victory Hardball motorcycles. The fuel pump in the affected motorcycles may have been incorrectly crimped during manufacturing, which may result in the fuel pump seizing.
Risk: If the fuel pump seizes, the motorcycle will stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Victory will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. The recall began on January 14, 2015. Owners may contact Victory consumer service at 1-877-737-7172. Polaris' number for this recall is V-15-01 A/B.

Polaris is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Victory motorcycles manufactured from January 3, 2012, through August 15, 2012. A torqueing procedure may have been missed on some throttle cable retention nuts. On certain motorcycles, the throttle cable retention nuts for either the pull or push throttle cable may have not been torqued correctly.
Risk: If the torqueing is missed and the retention nuts are loose, the retention nuts closest to the throttle body can become dislodged and interfere with the throttle function, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Victory will notify owners and dealers will correctly torque the fasteners free of charge. The safety recall began on October 4, 2012. Owners may contact Victory consumer service department by calling 1-888-704-5290.
