Transport Canada recalls

02
  • Other#2020241

    49 units affected

Issue: Certain trailers were equipped with safety chains that are not strong enough. As a result, if the trailer becomes uncoupled from the tow vehicle, the safety chains could break. This could allow the trailer to detach from the tow vehicle. Safety Risk: A trailer that separates from the tow vehicle could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to replace the safety chains with stronger ones.

  • Wheels#2015222

    245 units affected

On certain travel trailers and fifth wheels, the wheel hubs may have been manufactured with defective wheel studs, which could cause a complete separation of the wheel(s) from the travel trailer and a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect, and if necessary, replace the defective hubs.
