Transport Canada recalls

02
  • Wheels#2013027

    41 units affected

On certain motorcycles, wheel bearings from an unapproved supplier were installed during the manufacturing process. Confidence in the bearing is low since Triumph has no details regarding the bearing supplier, or its quality controls and standards. The durability and performance of these bearings is thereby unknown. Bearing failure could cause a crash resulting in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the wheel bearings.

  • Electrical#2011365

    145 units affected

On certain motorcycles, the wiring harness for the evaporative purge valve could contact the exhaust and become damaged. This could result in an electrical short, which could cause the Engine Control Module fuse to fail, and the engine to stall. Engine stalling would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, reposition the wire harness.

Remedy: Triumph will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected bearings free of charge. Owners may contact Triumph at 1-678-854-2010 for more information.
