Issue: On certain motorhomes, the wiring for the cooktop may not be grounded. Note: This recall only affects motorhomes equipped with a 240 V induction cooktop. • Lights And Instruments#2022007

    122 units affected

Issue: Certain motorhomes built on a Freightliner chassis could have a problem with the rear-mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM). This could cause the tail lights not to work properly. Note: This recall replaces FL-856 (Transport Canada recall 2020-421). Motorhomes that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: Brake lights or turn signals that do not work could cause a following driver not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking or intends to turn. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to contact a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) authorized service facility to schedule a repair. The service facility will install a new wiring harness bypass.

  • Fuel System#2021265

    103 units affected

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the fuel rail assembly could develop a leak. Note: This recall only affects motorhomes equipped with a Cummins L9 diesel engine. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Cummins authorized service center to inspect the fuel rail. If damage is found, the fuel rail and fuel lines will be replaced. If no damage is found, the fuel rail will be reassembled with new crush washers using a special tool.

  • Lights And Instruments#2020421

    77 units affected

Issue: Certain motorhomes built on a Freightliner chassis could have a problem with the rear-mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM). This could cause the tail lights not to work properly. Note: This is an expansion of recall 2018-700. Vehicles that had an inspection, but did not have the PDM replaced under the previous recall, require a second repair under this recall. Safety Risk: Brake lights or turn signals that do not work could cause a following driver not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking or intends to turn. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their motorhome to a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) authorized service facility to replace the PDM.

  • Brakes#2018710

    17 units affected

On certain motorhomes equipped with a Cummins ISV5.0 light-duty diesel engine, the belt for the air compressor may slip and reduce air output. This could cause a reduction in braking performance, and if warnings are ignored, could result in the sudden application of the parking brake. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Cummins-authorized dealers will replace the existing high mount air compressor configuration with a new low mount air compressor configuration.

  • Structure#2018277

    267 units affected

On certain motorhomes, the frame rail extensions may not adequately support the trailer hitch mounting flange. Under certain loading or heavy braking conditions, the trailer hitch could detach, which would result in the separation of a towed vehicle or trailer, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, add a steel insert to increase the strength of the frame rail and strengthen the attachment of the hitch. Note: This recall supersedes recall 2017-166. Vehicles repaired under the previous recall will require re-inspection and possible additional repair.

  • Accessories#2018046

    1,653 units affected

On certain motorhomes equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. Correction: Cummins-authorized dealers will replace the fan support and fan adapter with improved parts.
