Issue: Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the low beam headlamps not to be bright enough after switching from high to low beam. Safety Risk: Headlamps that aren't bright enough can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Tiffin will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the circuit board(s) for the rooftop ventilation fans may not have been manufactured correctly and could overheat. Note: This recall only affects certain motorhomes equipped with MaxxAir rooftop ventilation fans. Safety Risk: A circuit board that overheats could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Tiffin will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to replace the ventilation fan circuit board(s).

On certain motorhomes equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. Loss of windshield wiping capability, should it occur during a rainy/snowy day, may compromise the driver’s ability to see the road and its users, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace the windshield wiper arms.

On certain motorhomes equipped with Lippert Components Inc. electric entry steps, an internal bolt on the steps that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps could fracture. This results in the fan gear disengaging from the steps, which could cause the steps to stop in an unexpected position and appear to be loose or unstable. If the steps become unstable, it could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: Dealers will install a step retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism, and all bolts of the mechanism will also be replaced.

On certain motorhomes, long periods of non-driving may cause the brake calipers to stick in the applied position. This can result in abnormal heat generation at the wheel end which, if undetected, could eventually lead to a soft brake pedal condition due to brake fluid boil. This could increase stopping distances, possibly resulting in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the brake calipers.

On certain motorhomes, the stop lamps may operate intermittently during light braking applications. Failure of the brake lamps to illuminate when the brakes are applied may result in the following road users being unaware of the driver's intentions, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the hydraulic brake light switch assembly.
