  On certain vehicles built on a Freightliner XBR chassis, a rubber-coated braided power steering hose may have inadequate clearance to the starter power stud due to incorrect routing. This could cause the power steering hose to rub against the stud on the starter motor, which could cause an electrical arc and a power steering fluid leak. A power steering leak in the presence of an electrical arc could increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. A power steering fluid leak could also require additional steering effort which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks of North America Service Facilities will reroute the power steering hose to ensure proper clearance to starter stud.

  On certain motorhomes equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly.   On certain motorhomes, the front sway bar mounting bracket may not fit on the axle mounting surface correctly. This could cause the mounting bolts to bend or become loose, which could result in the sway bar possibly detaching, which could affect vehicle handling and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Daimler Trucks of North America Dealers will modify the sway bar mounting surface.

  Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2014-2017 Tuscany XTE (models 34ST, 36MQ, 40AX, 40BX, 40EX and 40GQ), 2013-2018 Tuscany (models 38SQ, 40DX, 40KQ, 40RX, 42GX, 42HQ, 42WX, 44MT 45AT and 45LT) and 2016-2020 Venetian (models A40, B42, F42, G36, J40, L40, M37, R40, S40, and T42) motorhomes. The rear reflectors within the taillight lens may be too high, reducing the vehicle's visibility. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

  Risk: The incorrectly positioned reflectors may make the motorhome less visible to others on the road, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: TMC will notify owners, and dealers will install adhesive reflectors, free of charge. The recall began January 2, 2020. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000180.

• STEERING:HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST:HOSE, PIPING, AND CONNECTIONS#18V285000May 2, 2018

  Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2011-2017 Thor Tuscany and Venetian motorhomes, built on Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) chassis. The power steering hose on the affected vehicles may be routed incorrectly, and, as a result, the hose may rub against the power stud on the starter motor, possibly causing electrical arcing and a power steering fluid leak.

  Risk: Electrical arcing in the presence of leaking power steering fluid can increase the risk of a fire.

  Remedy: FCCC has notified owners, and FCCC dealers will reroute the power steering hose to provide proper clearance, free of charge. The recall began on May 1, 2018.   Thor Motor Coach (Thor) is recalling various 2003-2018 recreational vehicles, equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable.   Risk: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

  Thor Motor Coach (Thor) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Venetian and Tuscany motorhomes equipped with Cummins ISL engines. These vehicles, built on a Freightliner chassis, have a power steering hose that may be routed incorrectly, and, as a result, the hose may rub against the power stud on the starter motor, possibly causing electrical arcing and a power steering fluid leak.

  Risk: Electrical arcing in the presence of leaking power steering fluid can increase the risk of a fire.

  Remedy: Daimler Trucks (DTNA), the manufacturer of the Freightliner chassis has notified the motorhome owners, and DTNA dealers will reroute the high pressure power steering hose to provide adequate clearance from the starter stud, free of charge. The recall began on December 27, 2016. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712 or Thor customer service at 1-877-500-1020. Thor's number for this recall is FL727A.

• SUSPENSION:FRONT#16V468000June 27, 2016

  Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain model year 2016 Tuscany XTE, Palazzo, and 2016-2017 Venetian motorhomes manufactured September 9, 2015, to January 12, 2016. The front sway bar mounting brackets may not fit properly on the axle causing the mounting bolts to bend or loosen.

  Risk: If the sway bar bolts loosen, the sway bar may detach from the axle, affecting the handling and increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: TMC will notify owners, and Detroit Axle service centers, subsidiaries of Daimler Trucks, the manufacturer of the chassis, will modify the sway bar mounting, free of charge. The recall began on July 22, 2016.
