  • Accessories#2018561

    148 units affected

On certain motorhomes, the liquid propane (LP) hose could rub on the bottom metal plate of the Norcold refrigerator, and may develop a leak. Leaking propane in the presence of an ignition source could result in an explosion or fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the routing of the LP hose, cut away a portion of the refrigerator’s bottom metal plate and install a new grommet to ensure proper clearance of the LP hose, as required.

  • Suspension#2018302

    34 units affected

On certain motorhomes, the rear axle U-bolts may not have been properly tightened during installation. These bolts could loosen or break, potentially resulting in a separation of the rear axle from the vehicle. This could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and tighten the U-bolts as necessary.

  • ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING#20V423000

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Freedom Elite, and 2021 Four Winds motorhomes. A 100amp converter breaker was incorrectly installed at the battery tray when a 70amp breaker is required, possibly resulting in the wiring connected to the breaker overheating.

Risk: Overheated wires can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: TMC will notify owners, and dealers will replace the converter breaker with one of the correct amperage if needed, free of charge. This recall began September 18, 2020. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000199.

  • ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL#19V775000

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Chateau 22B, 22E, 23U, 24F, 25V, and 28A, Daybreak 22GO, Four Winds 22B, 22E, 24F, 26B and 28A, Freedom Elite 22HE and 2020 Quantum GR22, and SE22 motorhomes. The seatbelt-unfastened warning light will not illuminate for approximately five seconds after the ignition is moved to the "on" or "start" position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Risk: Without the seatbelt warning reminder, the driver may forget to fasten the seatbelt, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Remedy: GM will notify TMC owners, and dealers will reprogram the instrument panel cluster, free of charge. The recall began October 3, 2019. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-630-2438, GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782 or TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000177.

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Thor Four Winds, Chateau, and Freedom Elite vehicles. The liquid propane (LP) hose may not have adequate space between the floor and the metal plate on the refrigerator, causing damage to the hose and possibly creating a propane leak.

Risk: A propane leak can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: TMC will notify owners, and dealers will remove a portion of the refrigerator base plate to provide additional clearance for the LP hose, free of charge. The recall began December 11, 2018. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000162.

Risk: The loose U-bolts may further loosen or break allowing the axle to separate and cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: TMC has notified owners, and dealers will tighten U-bolts to the proper torque, free of charge. The recall began on June 22, 2018. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000156.
