Issue: On a small number of aerial devices, the welds for the boom tip leveling cylinder support could crack. As a result, the cylinder base pin may flex repeatedly and fail. If this happens, the aerial platform could tip. Safety Risk: A platform that tips could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Terex will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions to add reinforcement plates to the boom tip leveling cylinder bosses inside the upper boom. Terex advises you to perform a daily inspection of the boom tip leveling cylinder boss welds for cracks. If the welds are cracked, Terex advises not to use the aerial device until the recall repairs have been completed.
