On certain motorcycles, the regulator/rectifier assembly may have been produced with insufficient adhesion between the power module (circuit board) and the rectifier case. Due to this insufficient adhesion, heat generated on the power module circuit board can cause the circuit board to deform. This could cause excessive heat on the circuit board and uncontrolled electric current output, which can result in insufficient charging current being provided to the vehicle's battery. Battery discharge could lead to engine stalling and/or a no-start condition. Lost propulsion, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the regulator/rectifier assembly. Note: This recall may be superseded by recall 2016-022 for certain models. Please see recall 2016022 for more information: Click here for more information

On certain ATVs, the flame arrestor screen (located between the throttle body and the air cleaner) may flex due to air movement and pressure changes during vehicle operation. This could create metal fatigue and cracking of the screen, which could cause the screen to break loose from its mounting ring and enter the body throttle valve, preventing the throttle from fully returning to the idle position when the throttle lever is released. If the throttle does not return to idle position, the rider could loose control of the vehicle, which may result in a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the flame trap with an updated version.
