On certain travel trailers, the hardware for the entrance door steps that attach the steps to the trailer may have been installed incorrectly. This could allow the steps loosen and/or drop, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect the entrance steps to confirm if correct hardware was used during production. If not, the hardware will be replaced with the correct hardware.

On certain travel trailers, the water heater could have been wired incorrectly. While the water heater will still function on propane (LP) gas power, it will not function on electric power, which would cause the "DSI FLT" warning light not to illuminate if the gas is on and did not ignite. If the warning light does not illuminate to notify the operator that the gas did not ignite, a buildup of propane gas may result, which in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire and/or an explosion causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will re-wire the water heater to ensure it will run properly on electric and that the warning light will work properly.

On certain travel trailers equipped with a “Happy Jack” bed, the brackets for the bed may have been incorrectly positioned. This could cause the bed to lift up too far, which could damage the bed's brackets and motor. This could result in the brackets potentially breaking, and allowing the bed to possibly fall onto an occupant that may be under it, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will reposition the bed's brackets to ensure that it will not lift up too far.

On certain travel trailers, the labels on the breaker box and 12 volt fuse panel may be incorrect. Incorrect labels may create a possibility of electrical shock hazard when working on the travel trailer, which could result in injury. Correction: Labels will be sent to current owners instructing them to replace the incorrect label on the breaker box and 12 volt fuse panel.

On certain travel trailers, the furnace may not be properly secured to the floor. If the furnace were to move excessively and pull loose from the exhaust, it could allow hazardous fumes to escape into the trailer which could result in a risk of asphyxiation or fire, possibly resulting in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect the securing bracket of the furnace and will ensure it is secured with the correct bracket and screws if it is found to be incorrect.

On certain travel trailers, the certification, tire and loading information labels do not contain correct tire size information. The labels incorrectly indicate a tire size of ST205/75R14C while the correct tire size is LT235/75R15C. As a result, the vehicle may inadvertently be fitted with incorrect replacement tires. Overloaded tires may lead to poor vehicle handling characteristics, which could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Updated labels will be mailed to owners of affected vehicles, along with instructions for proper installation.

Starcraft RV (Starcraft) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Launch, Launch Ultra, AR-One, AR-One Maxx, Autumn Ridge, and Travel Star travel trailers manufactured July 9, 2015, to October 2, 2015. The affected trailers have a circuit breaker box with circuit breakers that may be mislabeled.
Risk: With an incorrectly labeled circuit breaker box, someone may turn off the wrong breaker to work on the electrical system and receive an electrical shock.
Remedy: Starcraft will notify owners, and will send owners a corrected circuit breaker box label, free of charge. The recall began on November 25, 2015. Owners may contact Starcraft customer service at 1-800-945-4787. Starcraft's number for this recall is 9902060.
- EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS#15V258000
Starcraft RV (Starcraft) is recalling certain model year 2016 Launch and AR-One travel trailers manufactured March 31, 2015, to April 20, 2015. The affected vehicles may be equipped with Federal Certification Labels that incorrectly list the tire size as ST205/75R14C when the actual size is LT235/75R15C. As such, these labels fail to comply with Federal Regulation Part 567.
Risk: If the operator installs an incorrect tire due to the wrong label information, excessive tire wear may result and may cause instability during towing, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Starcraft will notify owners, and dealers will install a new corrected label, free of charge. The recall began on May 28, 2015. Owners may contact Starcraft customer service at 1-800-945-4787. Starcraft's number for this recall is 9902239.
