On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. Note: For more information about recalled fire extinguishers, please visit www.kidde.com.”

On certain travel trailers, the incorrect cargo carrying capacity was printed on the Cargo Carrying Capacity label and the Tire and Loading Information label. As a result, the vehicle may be overloaded, which could lead to poor vehicle handling characteristics, resulting in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Updated labels will be mailed to owners of affected vehicles, along with instructions for proper installation. Owners can also have the labels affixed by dealers.

  • EQUIPMENT:RECREATIONAL VEHICLE/TRAILER#15V671000

Starcraft RV (Starcraft) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Launch Ultra Lite travel trailers, model 28BHS JU, manufactured from October 31, 2013, through October 1, 2015. The affected trailers are equipped with a Happy Jack bed that will try to lift up too far, damaging the bed's brackets and motor.

Risk: Damage to the bed's brackets and motor may cause the bed to break and possibly fall onto anyone that may be under it, increasing their risk of injury.

Remedy: Starcraft will notify owners, and dealers will reposition the bed's brackets so that it will not lift up too far, free of charge. The recall began on December 3, 2015. Owners may contact Starcraft customer service at 1-800-945-4787. Starcraft's recall campaign number is 9902267.

  • EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS#13V277000

Starcraft is recalling certain model year 2014 Launch Ultra Light travel trailers manufactured April 1, 2013, through April 10, 2013. An incorrect cargo carrying capacity is printed on the RV Trailer Cargo Carrying Capacity Label and the Tire and Loading Information Placard. Thus, the trailers fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 110, "Tire Selection and Rims for Passenger Cars."

Risk: The vehicle could be loaded with the incorrect amount of cargo resulting in overloading of the tires which may lead to tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Starcraft will notify owners, and dealers will replace the labels. The recall began during July 2013. Owners may contact Starcraft at 1-800-945-4787.
