02
  • Structure#2025720

    17 units affected

Issue: On certain fire trucks, the ladder lock handle may not have been assembled properly. As a result, the handle could become loose and detach from the ladder lock. If this happens, the ladder(s) could fall from the vehicle. Safety Risk: A ladder that falls from a vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Spartan Fire will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to an authorized service facility to inspect and, if necessary, replace the ladder lock handle.

  • Other#2013278

    14 units affected

On certain fire trucks, pins which hold the ladder in place may loosen over time. This could allow the ladder arm to deploy without warning. As such, the ladder could strike another vehicle or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will secure the ladder pins by installing spacers and locking nuts.
