  • Other#2021385

    449 units affected

Issue: On certain fire trucks, the pump shift solenoid may become corroded and fail. If this happens, power to the pump control module may be lost, and the vehicle may not shift into pump mode. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the pump control module can cause a loss of water pressure for fighting fires. This could delay emergency response and increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Spartan Fire will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the pump shift solenoid.

  • Steering#2016453

    37 units affected

On certain vehicles, the power steering pump may have an undersized bore in the spool housing. This may cause the spool to stick, resulting in reduced power steering fluid flow which may result in an intermittent loss of power steering without warning. An intermittent loss of power steering could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the power steering pump.

  • Engine#2015289

    359 units affected

On certain vehicles, the engine cooling fan may crack and lead to the separation of the fan blades without warning, potentially causing personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the engine cooling fans.

  • Brakes#2014532

    65 units affected

On certain vehicles equipped with a Wabco quick release with double check valves, used to control park/spring brake application, the valve may leak internally. This could cause unintended partial or full park/spring brake application, which could affect service brake function and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will affect repairs.

  • Powertrain#2014355

    6 units affected

On certain vehicles equipped with Cummins ISB or ISL engines, the fuel filter shell and nut plate could separate, causing a fuel leak and also causing the engine to stall. Stalling would result in a loss of motive power, increasing the risk of a crash resulting in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the fuel filter.
