Issue: On certain trailers, the spindles may not be properly welded to the axle flanges. As a result, a spindle and wheel assembly could separate from the trailer. Safety Risk: A wheel separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a wheel that separates could also hit another person or vehicle. Corrective Actions: BRP recommends that you should not use your trailer until the recall inspection or repair has been completed. The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to inspect the trailer label for the axle batch number. If the axle is from batch 256, 258 or 260, you will need to contact a dealer and arrange for the trailer to be transported for repair. The dealer will replace the defective axle.
