02- Brakes#2016121
50 units affected
On certain fire trucks, contaminants could pass through the brake pedal base plate causing corrosion on the brake pedal piston. This could result in brakes sticking, brake drag, or otherwise impair brake function, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the brake pedal assembly, add a solid spacer plate and sealant to prevent future contamination.
- Electrical#2014271
12 units affected
On certain 3000 & 4000 series trucks with pre 2013 engines, an electrical bus bar may corrode due to exposure to salt and other de-icing chemicals, potentially resulting in an electrical short. This could increase the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the bus bar and replace as necessary, as well as apply an anticorrosion treatment.
