Issue: On certain motorhomes, the cargo-carrying capacity may not have been calculated correctly. As a result, the motorhome is labelled with the wrong cargo-carrying capacity. This could lead you to overload the motorhome, which could cause poor handling or a tire failure. Safety Risk: Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and result in a crash. Corrective Actions: Roadtrek Inc. will mail a new compliance label to each owner. If you would like help to install it, you can contact a Roadtrek dealer to have it installed free of charge.

Note: This recall only affects motorhomes equipped with a Suburban SDS2 cooktop. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: Roadtrek will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development. Roadtrek advises not to use the cooktop until the recall repairs are completed.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the service valve (main shutoff) for the propane tank may be defective. As a result, the connector may not seal properly and could leak propane. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: Roadtrek will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect the date code on the service valve. It will be replaced, if necessary. Roadtrek recommends that you should shut off the service valve (main shutoff) on the propane tank until your motorhome is inspected.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the burner control valve for the interior cooktop could become damaged. If this happens, the valve could leak propane. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: Roadtrek Inc. will notify owners by mail and instruct you to contact Dometic, the manufacturer of the cooktop. Dometic advises that you must immediately shut off the propane supply at the tank regulator. Don't use the propane system in your RV until the cooktop recall repairs have been completed. Dometic will provide you with information for how to inspect the serial number on your cooktop. If the serial number is within the affected range, you will be instructed to take your motorhome to a Dometic dealer or service centre to replace the cooktop.

Issue: On a small number of motorhomes, a carbon monoxide detector was not installed. As a result, users would not be alerted if there was a carbon monoxide buildup inside the motorhome. Safety Risk: A buildup of carbon monoxide inside the motorhome could result in asphyxiation or carbon monoxide poisoning. Corrective Actions: Roadtrek Inc. will notify owners by mail and request you to identify if your motorhome has a carbon monoxide and propane (CO/LP) detector or a LP only detector. If you have a LP only detector, Roadtrek will ship you a CO detector with instructions for installing it. To reduce the safety risk, Roadtrek recommends that you should open a window or vent when operating a fuel burning appliance until the CO detector is installed.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the voltage regulator for the alternator that charges the house batteries may be defective. As a result, the batteries could be over-charged and the electrical system could be damaged. If this happens, the batteries could leak acid. Safety Risk: Leaking battery acid could create an injury risk. Corrective Actions: Roadtrek will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to inspect the additional alternator and replace it, if necessary. In order to minimize the safety risk before this inspection is completed, you should monitor the battery voltage to ensure that it does not exceed 15 volts. If it does, Roadtrek recommends that you should stop using the vehicle immediately to avoid causing damage. If you are in an emergency situation, you can remove the drive belt on the additional alternator to prevent the batteries from being over-charged.

Roadtrek Inc. (Roadtrek) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Zion, Chase, Zion Slumber, Play, Play Slumber, Zion SRT and Play SRT recreational vehicles, equipped with certain SDS2 2-burner drop-in cooktops. The internal aluminum burner tubes that connect to the gas valves may fracture and cause a gas leak.
Risk: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will install a regulator support bracket in unsold vehicles. The remedy for sold units include inspecting the burner tubes, and repair, as necessary, free of charge. Previously sold units will be inspected and replace the cooktop as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 8, 2023. Risk: The presence of carbon monoxide gas may not be detected, increasing the risk of injury or death.

Roadtrek Inc. (Roadtrek) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Zion, Zion SRT, and Play motorhomes. The undermount generator that charges the Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) house batteries may have a faulty internal regulator, which could damage the AGM batteries and cause electrical system failure.
Risk: Damaged AGM battery caps can detach. In addition, a damaged AGM battery that is replaced with a lead-acid battery can lead to an acid spill. Either of these scenarios can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and if necessary, replace the undermount AGM generator, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 26, 2021. Owners may contact Roadtrek customer service at 1-888-762-3873.
