  • Seats And Restraints#2019309

    244 units affected

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the second row captain seats may not provide proper protection for occupants. Canadian regulations require minimum strength requirements for seats and seat belt mounting. Safety Risk: Seats that are not secure could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their motorhome to a dealer to remove the seat belts from the second row captain seats. Dealers will also install a label advising that the second-row seat is not to be occupied while the vehicle is in motion. Note: This notice was submitted by the Court appointed Receiver of Erwin Hymer North America, Inc, Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc., who was appointed pursuant to an order of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) on February 15, 2019.
