    Issue: On certain motorhomes, the cargo-carrying capacity may not have been calculated correctly. As a result, the motorhome is labelled with the wrong cargo-carrying capacity. This could lead you to overload the motorhome, which could cause poor handling or a tire failure. Safety Risk: Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and result in a crash. Corrective Actions: Roadtrek Inc. will mail a new compliance label to each owner. If you would like help to install it, you can contact a Roadtrek dealer to have it installed free of charge.

    Issue: On certain motorhomes, the aluminum tubes that connect the gas valves to the cooktop burners could crack. If this happens, the tubes could leak propane. Note: This recall only affects motorhomes equipped with a Suburban SDS2 cooktop. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: Roadtrek will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development. Roadtrek advises not to use the cooktop until the recall repairs are completed.

    Issue: On certain motorhomes, the mounting bolts for the front seats may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the seats could move in a crash. Safety Risk: Seats that are not installed correctly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Roadtrek will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the mounting bolts for the front seats.

    Issue: On certain motorhomes, the service valve (main shutoff) for the propane tank may be defective. As a result, the connector may not seal properly and could leak propane. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: Roadtrek will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect the date code on the service valve. It will be replaced, if necessary. Roadtrek recommends that you should shut off the service valve (main shutoff) on the propane tank until your motorhome is inspected.

  • EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:OVEN/STOVE/COOKTOP#23V112000

    Roadtrek Inc. (Roadtrek) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Zion, Chase, Zion Slumber, Play, Play Slumber, Zion SRT and Play SRT recreational vehicles, equipped with certain SDS2 2-burner drop-in cooktops. The internal aluminum burner tubes that connect to the gas valves may fracture and cause a gas leak.

    Risk: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will install a regulator support bracket in unsold vehicles. The remedy for sold units include inspecting the burner tubes, and repair, as necessary, free of charge. Previously sold units will be inspected and replace the cooktop as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 8, 2023. Owners may contact Roadtrek customer service at 1-888-762-3873. Roadtrek's number for this recall is NHTSA Recall 23E002.

  • SEATS:CRITICAL FASTENERS#22V653000

    Roadtrek Inc. (Roadtrek) is recalling certain 2022 Zion, Zion SRT, Chase and Zion Slumber motorhomes. The front seat mounting bolts may be improperly tightened. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) No. 207, "Seating Systems."

    Risk: A seat with a loose mounting bolt may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

    Remedy: Dealers will inspect the bolts, and tighten if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 7, 2022. Owners may contact Roadtrek customer service at 1-888-762-3873. Roadtrek's number for this recall is 2022-05.

  • EQUIPMENT:RECREATIONAL VEHICLE/TRAILER:LPG SYSTEMS#22V492000

    Roadtrek Inc. (Roadtrek) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Zion, Zion SRT, Zion Slumber, Chase, Play, Play SRT, and Play Slumber motorhomes. The output line on the LPG tanks may not connect properly to the shut off valve, which can cause a propane leak.

    Risk: A propane leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the service valves, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed in September 8, 2022. Owners may contact Roadtrek customer service at 1-888-762-3873.

  • EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:OVEN/STOVE/COOKTOP#22V385000

    Roadtrek Inc. (Roadtrek) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Play, Play SRT, Play Slumber, Chase, SS Agile, Zion, Zion SRT, and Zion Slumber recreational vehicles, equipped with certain 2-burner cooktops. The burner control valves may become damaged, causing a gas leak.

    Risk: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the cooktops, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 22, 2022. Owners may contact Roadtrek customer service at 1-888-762-3873.

  • EQUIPMENT:RECREATIONAL VEHICLE/TRAILER:LPG SYSTEMS:WATER HEATER#22V065000

    Roadtrek Inc. (Roadtrek) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Zion, Zion SRT, Zion Slumber, Chase, Play, and Play Slumber recreational vehicles. The propane line may not be attached to the water heater.

    Risk: An unattached propane line can cause gas to enter the vehicle, increasing the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will inspect and attach the propane line, as necessary, and test the propane system, free of charge. Owners may contact Roadtrek customer service at 1-888-762-3873. Roadtrek's number for this recall is 2022-01.
