  • Heater And Defroster#2024179

    68 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles, a problem could cause the coolant heater to overheat and generate excessive exhaust gas. Safety Risk: A coolant heater that overheats can create the risk of a fire. Excessive exhaust gas could increase the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Additionally, a fire could result in passengers being evacuated in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Prevost will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a Prevost service center to inspect the coolant heater, adjust it and replace any damaged components, if necessary. Prevost recommends that you should not use the heater until the recall repairs are completed.

  • Electrical#2024143

    19 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles, the battery cables could become damaged by contact with a metal panel. If this happens, the cables could short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. Additionally, a fire could result in passengers being evacuated in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Prevost will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a Prevost service center to inspect and, if necessary, reinstall the grommet for the battery cables.

  • Brakes#2023641

    19 units affected

Issue: On certain buses equipped with the optional driver assist system, the front radar sensor may be blocked by the front bumper trim panel. As a result, the system may not detect when there is an obstacle in front of the bus and would not automatically apply the brakes. The system may also activate automatically and apply the brakes without an obstacle. Safety Risk: Vehicle safety systems that do not work correctly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Prevost will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your bus to a Prevost service center to inspect and, if necessary, replace the front bumper trim panel.

  • Electrical#2023608

    77 units affected

Issue: On certain buses, the power cable for the intake air heater relay may not have been connected properly. As a result, the cable and/or relay could overheat and melt. Safety Risk: Wiring or a relay that overheats could create the risk of a fire. Additionally, a fire could result in passengers being evacuated in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Prevost will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your bus to a Prevost service center to tighten the intake air heater relay nut. Prevost will also inspect and, if necessary, replace any damaged components.

  • Lights And Instruments#2023378

    60 units affected

Issue: On certain buses, the right-front turn signal lamp could fail when the turn signal or hazard warning lights are turned on. Safety Risk: A turn signal that doesn't work may cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes. A hazard lamp that doesn't work could make the vehicle less visible. Both could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Prevost will notify owners by mail and provide you with directions for completing the recall repairs. The repair will include installing improved headlight wiring.

  • Lights And Instruments#2023379

    31 units affected

Issue: Certain buses were built with daytime running lamps (DRLs) that don't turn off when the fog lights are switched on. Canadian regulations require the DRLs to turn off when the front fog lamps are switched on. Safety Risk: Daytime running lamps that stay on in foggy conditions could cause glare and reduced visibility. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Prevost will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your bus to a Prevost service center to update the daytime running lamp software.
