Issue: On certain vehicles, the windshield and/or the rear window may not be properly attached. As a result, the front airbag(s) may not inflate properly in a crash. Safety Risk: An airbag that doesn't inflate properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Porsche will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the windshield and/or rear window.

Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with optional full bucket seats, the seat-mounted airbags could deploy in a crash that doesn't require them to. Safety Risk: A seat-mounted airbag that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Porsche will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the airbag control unit software.

Issue: On certain 911 GT3 Touring models, when the rear spoiler is raised manually, both the main and auxiliary center high-mounted stop lamps may switch on when the vehicle is braking. Canadian regulations only allow one of the two centre high-mounted stop lamps to be switched on while braking. Safety Risk: Multiple stop lamps that turn on at the same time could cause confusion for other drivers and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Porsche will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to reprogram the rear spoiler control unit.

U.S. NHTSA recalls

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2021-2023 911 Turbo S, 2022 911 Turbo, 2022-2023 911 GT3 Touring, 911 GT3, 911 Carrera 4 GTS, 2022-2024 911 Carrera GTS, 2023 911 GT3 RS, 911 Dakar, and 2024 911 Carrera T vehicles equipped with optional full bucket seats. The seat-mounted air bags may deploy unnecessarily during a crash.
Risk: Air bags that deploy unnecessarily can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will reprogram the air bag control unit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 11, 2023. Owners may contact Porsche's customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is APB3.
