    14 units affected

Issue: On certain fire trucks equipped with a Weldon vehicle multiplex system, a software problem could cause the power distribution unit not to shut off if there is a short circuit or a wiring problem. As a result, the unit and/or wiring could overheat and melt. Safety Risk: A power distribution unit and/or wiring that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Pierce will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact Weldon to update the Weldon power distribution unit software.

  • Other#2016071

    6 units affected

On certain fire trucks, the governor/throttle control of the fire pump may have been configured with an incorrect firmware during the manufacturing process. Under certain circumstances, this could cause an unexpected pressure surge to the fire hose, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: The manufacturer will provide a firmware update to correct the defect.
