  • Fuel System#2022078

    11 units affected

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the fuel tubes between the fuel rail and the injectors may crack and create a fuel leak. Note: This recall only affects motorhomes equipped with a Cummins X12 diesel engine. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Cummins authorized service center. On vehicles with 120 km or less, Cummins will add vibration isolators to the fuel tubes. On vehicles with more than 120 km, Cummins will also replace the fuel tubes for cylinders 4, 5 and 6.

  • Lights And Instruments#2021551

    63 units affected

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the instrument cluster may overheat and go blank for short periods of time while driving. If this happens, you may not see important information such as the vehicle's speed, gauges and warning lights. Safety Risk: An instrument cluster that goes blank and does not display information about vehicle systems could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to update the instrument cluster control module. The dealer will also move the air ducts for the defrosting and defogging system as far away from the control module as possible.

  • Lights And Instruments#2020336

    175 units affected

Issue: Certain motorhomes built on a Freightliner chassis could have a problem with the rear-mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM). This could cause the tail lights not to work properly. Note: This is an expansion of recall 2019-293. Vehicles that had an inspection, but did not have the PDM replaced under the previous recall, require a second repair under this recall. Safety Risk: Brake lights or turn signals that do not work could cause a following driver not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking or intends to turn. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their motorhome to a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) authorized service facility to replace the PDM.

  • Lights And Instruments#2019576

    1 units affected

Issue: On one motorhome built on a Freightliner chassis, the high beam headlights may not work as designed. When the high beam headlights are switched on, the low beam headlights turn off. The lighting system is designed to have the low beam headlights stay on when the high beams are switched on. As a result, a driver could have reduced visibility. Safety Risk: Reduced visibility could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify the owner by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Daimler Trucks North America authorized service facility to ensure the headlights work properly, and repair as necessary.

  • Other#2019417

    39 units affected

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the decorative trim in the bedroom could fall onto the bed. Safety Risk: If this occurs while someone is in the bed, it could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their motorhome to a dealership to have the decorative trim properly secured.
