On certain motorhomes equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. The motor could continue to be energized and overheat or eventually be subject to an over current condition, which would increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Spartan service centers will replace the starter.

If the latch accidently locked the door shut, there would be no means to open it from the inside which could potentially cause entrapment and/or injury to an individual. Correction: Dealers will install a new door latch that cannot be inadvertently locked and can only be activated from the exterior of the refrigerator after the door is closed.

On certain vehicles, the castle nuts for the steering linkage ball joint fasteners, which mount to the bell cranks, may have been improperly tightened during assembly. If the castle nuts were to come completely loose, the steering linkage may separate from the bell cranks without warning. This could result in a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the castle nuts, and if necessary, tighten them to the proper specification.
