Issue: On certain motorhomes, the hood stops may not have been secured properly. As a result, the hood stops could detach and separate from the vehicle while driving. Safety Risk: A hood stop that detaches from the vehicle could create a hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and install fasteners to secure the hood stop brackets.

Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. On certain motorhomes, the front side marker lights are not connected into the wiring harness, which would reduce vehicle conspicuity at night. Additionally, if the headlight high beams are activated, only the high beam bulbs illuminate. The intention of the high beam function on the affected coaches is to have both the high beam and low beam bulbs illuminate together. Not having the required illumination of the road could reduce the driver’s visibility, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will connect the front side marker lights to the wiring harness, and repair as necessary to ensure the low beam bulb will turn on along with the high beam bulb during activation of the high beams.
