06
  • Structure#2026082

    279 units affected

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the hood stops may not have been secured properly. As a result, the hood stops could detach and separate from the vehicle while driving. Safety Risk: A hood stop that detaches from the vehicle could create a hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and install fasteners to secure the hood stop brackets.

  • Structure#2018349

    55 units affected

On certain motorhomes, after the battery disconnect is turned on, the controller for the slide-out rooms could cause the slide-outs to move in or out unexpectedly without warning. This could increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the slide-out controller. Note: This condition can only happen with the ignition key in the off/accessory position and the battery disconnect on.

  • Electrical#2018182

    64 units affected

On certain motorhomes, there may be a loose electrical connection in the breaker box that was not properly tightened. A loose power connection may cause a build up of heat at the connection, which would increase the risk of overheating or a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the electrical connections in the breaker box and repair as necessary.

  • Electrical#2017651

    212 units affected

On certain motorhomes, there may be a loose electrical connection to the automatic transfer switch (ATS) that was not properly tightened. If the power connection is loose, it could result in a build up of heat at the connection, which could increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the electrical connections and perform repairs as necessary.

  • Accessories#2017635

    3,664 units affected

On certain motorhomes equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. Note: For more information about recalled fire extinguishers, please visit <a href="https://inmarmarketaction.com/kidde/Kidde284CA/">www.kidde.com</a>.

  • Lights And Instruments#2017619

    16 units affected

On certain motorhomes, the front side marker lights are not connected into the wiring harness, which would reduce vehicle conspicuity at night. Additionally, if the headlight high beams are activated, only the high beam bulbs illuminate. The intention of the high beam function on the affected coaches is to have both the high beam and low beam bulbs illuminate together. Not having the required illumination of the road could reduce the driver’s visibility, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will connect the front side marker lights to the wiring harness, and repair as necessary to ensure the low beam bulb will turn on along with the high beam bulb during activation of the high beams.
