As a result, the tie-downs may not lock correctly and could detach in a crash. Note: This recall only affects certain school buses equipped with a Q'Straint Slide N' Click wheelchair restraint system. Safety Risk: Tie-downs that detach in a crash could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, secure the anchor screw caps for the wheelchair restraint system. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the repairs performed at a Micro Bird dealership.

As a result, the handle could break and cause the emergency door not to be able to be opened from the outside. Safety Risk: A door that can't be opened could slow your exit from the bus in an emergency. This could also delay emergency responders from entering the bus. Both issues could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a dealership to replace the rear emergency door exterior handle.

Safety Risk: An emergency exit that's not properly labeled may create confusion. This could increase the risk of injury in an emergency situation. Corrective Actions: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and provide instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, replace the label. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the repairs performed at a Micro Bird dealership.

Issue: On certain G5 electric school buses built on a Ford chassis, the AC charging harness could overheat while using a Level 2 charger. Safety Risk: A charging harness that overheats could create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact a local dealer. Ecotuned Technologies will provide parts and instructions for how to correct this defect. Until the recall repairs are completed, Micro Bird advises to charge your bus using outside charging equipment only and to keep a safe distance between vehicles and buildings during charging.

As a result, the door panels may get stuck when the emergency release handle is used, or may not open when force is applied to the door. Additionally, the exterior emergency release handle may not allow the service door to be opened from outside of the bus. Safety Risk: A door that cannot be opened could delay exiting the bus in an emergency. This could also delay emergency response. Both of these issues could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your bus to a dealer to adjust the service door. Alternatively, Micro Bird will provide owners instructions on how to correctly adjust the service door.

In the event of a crash, the belt anchorage plate may become partially or totally detached, reducing the capacity of the shoulder belt to retain the passenger, resulting in an increased risk of injury or fatality. Correction: Dealers will inspect, and if necessary, re-install the shoulder belt anchorage plate using the correct procedure.

Certain school buses may fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 222 - School Bus Passenger Seating and Crash Protection. The thickness of the foam in the knee impact area of the lower seatback is insufficient, which could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Correction: Dealers will modify the seat to meet the requirements of the standard.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2003-2026 MB II, 2006-2026 G5, and 2015-2026 T-Series school buses. An installation error may prevent the wheelchair tie-downs from locking, leaving the wheelchair improperly secured.
Risk: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit or a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and secure the anchor screw cap as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 28, 2026. Owners can contact Micro Bird Customer Service at 819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 26-120-AUS.
- ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING#22V287000
Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2006-2021 MBII and G5 transit buses. An inactive electrical harness that is secured in an opening in the B-pillar may become damaged from sharp edges inside the opening.
Risk: A damaged electrical harness may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will secure the electrical harness and remove the fuse linked to the main cable, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 20, 2022. Owners may contact Micro Bird's customer service at 1-819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 22-092-HUS.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2014-2021 Micro Bird G5 vehicles with electrical wiring, routed behind the driver's seat, that may have been damaged during rivet installation.
Risk: If the electric cabling is damaged, certain safety accessories or lamps may stop working, or a short-circuit may occur, increasing the risk of a fire.

Corp. Micro Bird Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2004-2021 T-Series, G5, and MBII school buses. The emergency door retaining device may fail to keep the door in an open position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."
Risk: If the emergency door won't stay open during an evacuation it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Micro Bird will notify owners, and dealers will install a kit to repair the emergency door retaining device, free of charge. The recall April 24, 2020. Owners may contact Micro Bird customer service at 1-819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 20-084-RUS.
- ELECTRICAL SYSTEM#19V376000
Corp. Micro Bird Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2018-2019 GT and T-Series school buses. The heavy duty solenoid may overheat nearby components, possibly causing them to malfunction.
Risk: If the nearby components malfunction, the vehicle may unexpectedly stop, increasing the risk of crash. If the nearby components or wiring overheat, there is an increased risk of fire.
Remedy: Micro Bird Corporation will notify owners, and provide field modification instructions and a replacement solenoid, free of charge. The recall began July 11, 2019. Owners may contact Micro Bird customer service at 1-819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 19-081-SUS.
