Issue: On certain buses, the anchor screw caps for the wheelchair restraint system may not have been installed properly. As a result, the tie-downs may not lock correctly and could detach in a crash. Note: This recall only affects certain buses equipped with a Q'Straint Slide N' Click wheelchair restraint system. Safety Risk: Tie-downs that detach in a crash could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, secure the anchor screw caps for the wheelchair restraint system. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the repairs performed at a Micro Bird dealership.

Issue: On certain buses, the exterior handle for the rear emergency door may not be strong enough. As a result, the handle could break and cause the emergency door not to be able to be opened from the outside. Safety Risk: A door that can't be opened could slow your exit from the bus in an emergency. This could also delay emergency responders from entering the bus. Both issues could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your bus to a dealership to replace the rear emergency door exterior handle.

Safety risk: A circuit board that overheats could create the risk of a fire. Note: This recall only affects buses built on a General Motors chassis. Safety Risk: A short circuit could create the risk of a fire. Issue: On certain buses, a fold-away seat was placed next to the emergency exit window. When the seat is folded, it may block the instruction label and release handle for the emergency exit. As a result, you may not be able to open the exit window without unfolding the seat. Safety Risk: An emergency exit that is difficult to open could slow your exit from the bus in an emergency. This could create an increased risk of injury. Corrective Action: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact a dealer to have your vehicle(s) inspected and repaired.

As a result, the door panels may get stuck when the emergency release handle is used, or may not open when force is applied to the door. Additionally, the exterior emergency release handle may not allow the service door to be opened from outside of the bus. Safety Risk: A door that cannot be opened could delay exiting the bus in an emergency. This could also delay emergency response. Both of these issues could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your bus to a dealer to adjust the service door. Alternatively, Micro Bird will provide owners instructions on how to correctly adjust the service door.

Correction: Owners will be provided with inspection and repair instructions, as well as necessary repair parts.

On certain propane-powered buses, the aluminum fuel line fitting at the propane tank can experience dissimilar metal corrosion where it contacts the brass supply housing on the fuel tank. This could result in a propane leak, which in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage and/or injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the aluminum fuel line fitting at the fuel tank with a new stainless steel fitting.
