    Issue: On certain garbage trucks, the side loader arm may not be properly secured. As a result, the arm could move unexpectedly while driving. Safety Risk: A side loader arm that moves while driving could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: McNeilus will notify owners by mail and provide you with parts and instructions for how to replace the side loader arm latch. Additionally, a McNeilus technician will update the software for the side loader arm.

    Issue: On certain garbage trucks, the welds for the ejector could fail. If this happens, the hydraulic cylinder could go through the side of the truck body. Safety Risk: A hydraulic cylinder that goes through the side of the truck body could create a risk of injury to people near the truck. Corrective Actions: McNeilus will notify owners by mail and provide you with the corrected parts and instructions for how to install them.

    On certain refuse and concrete mixer vehicles, the handheld Kidde plastic valve disposable fire extinguisher may not function as designed. In certain instances, the extinguisher may fail to fully discharge when the lever is pressed multiple times. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: A replacement extinguisher will be provided by dealers or Kidde directly.
