Issue: On certain trucks, the fuse for the methane detection system may not have been installed during production. As a result, the methane detector may not work. Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with a natural gas engine. Safety Risk: A methane detection system that doesn't work could increase the risk of fire or injury. Corrective Actions: Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to install the methane detection system fuse.

Issue: On certain trucks, the engine may not return to idle if the accelerator pedal position sensor becomes disconnected. As a result, the trucks don't meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: An engine that doesn't return to idle could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mack will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

Issue: On a small number of trucks equipped with a Cummins L9N natural gas engine, when the engine is lifted, the rear lifting bracket attached to the cylinder head could detach. If this happens, the engine could swing or fall. Safety Risk: An engine that swings or falls could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a Cummins authorized service center to inspect and, if necessary, replace the studs on the rear lifting bracket.

06- ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:FUSES AND CIRCUIT BREAKERS#24V232000
Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024-2025 LR natural gas vehicles. The methane detector may be inoperative due to a missing fuse.
Risk: An inoperative methane detector can fail to detect a gas leak, increasing the risk of a fire or injury.
Remedy: Dealers will install a fuse, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 10, 2024. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0461.
- VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL#23V792000
Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2023-2024 GR, AN, LR, and Terrapro vehicles. The engine may not return to idle within 2 seconds if the accelerator pedal position sensor becomes disconnected. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 124, "Accelerator Control Systems."
Risk: An engine that does not return to idle quickly enough can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Mack will replace the throttle pedal and update the vehicle software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 27, 2024. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0455.

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024 LR vehicles. The fasteners that connect the power steering assist cylinder to steering arm may be loose or missing.
Risk: The power steering assist cylinder may separate from the steering arm, causing a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the repair has been performed. Dealers will inspect and tighten the steering gear fasteners and install a new cotter pin, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 15, 2023. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0451.
- STRUCTURE#23V513000
Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024 LR garbage trucks. The reinforcing floor welds may be missing from around the passenger seat pedestal, reducing floor strength.
Risk: The pedestal may buckle during a crash, preventing the passenger seat from properly restraining a passenger.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and add welds as necessary, replace the missing floor welds, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 12, 2023. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0446.
- VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER:LINKAGES#23V465000
Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2023-2024 LR garbage trucks. The wiper arm retention nuts may be loose, stripping, and causing the windshield wipers to fail.
Risk: Inoperative windshield wipers can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect, tighten the retention nuts, and replace the windshield wiper arms as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 22, 2023. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0445.
- ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:HORN#23V310000
Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024 LR electric garbage trucks, equipped with electric horns. The circuit connecting the horn button to the horn is missing, making the horn inoperative.
Risk: A vehicle with an inoperative horn cannot alert other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will add the necessary circuits to connect the horn button to the horn, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 20, 2023. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC443.
