  • Visual System#2026125

    17,195 units affected

Issue: Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Lexus will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the rearview camera software or replace the rearview camera, as necessary.

  • Visual System#2025594

    99,178 units affected

Issue: Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image to freeze or not to display. If this happens, the rearview image may not display when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the vehicle is reversing. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a panoramic view monitor system. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display correctly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the parking assist ECU software.

  • Brakes#2022493

    9,585 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles, a programming error could cause the parking brake system to malfunction. If this happens, a warning light will turn on and the message "Parking Brake Malfunction, Visit Your Dealer" will display. Also, you may not be able to apply the parking brake, and if the vehicle isn't in park, it could roll away. Safety Risk: A parked vehicle that moves unexpectedly could increase the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to reprogram the skid control ECU.

  • Structure#2022180

    506 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles, the body panels near the front shock absorber mounts may be missing welds. As a result, the shock absorber mounting areas could crack over time and break. If this happens, a shock absorber could separate and cause a sudden loss of vehicle stability. Safety Risk: A loss of vehicle stability could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Lexus will contact owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the spot-welds around the front shock absorber mounting areas. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.
