Issue: On certain motorhomes, a heat shield may be missing behind the refrigerator. As a result, when the refrigerator is on, the wood frame behind it could overheat and be charred by exhaust. Safety Risk: A wood frame that overheats could catch fire. Corrective Actions: Triple E will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for ordering a fridge recall kit, free of charge. You will be instructed to take your motorhome to a dealer or RV service center to have the heat shield installed. To reduce the safety risk, Triple E recommends that you should turn off the propane until the recall repairs have been completed.

On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. On certain vehicles, the spare tire carrier may have been mounted too high and may obstruct visibility of the driver's side tail, brake and signal lamps. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Owners will be supplied with a revised spare tire carrier.
