Issue: On certain RV trailers, the propane (LP) regulator could fail. If this happens, high-pressure propane could reach the appliances. Note: This recall only affects trailers equipped with a Winntec model 6020 propane regulator. Safety Risk: Unregulated propane pressure can create the risk of an appliance fire. Corrective Action: KZ RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer, to replace the propane (LP) regulator.

On certain travel trailers, the liquid propane (LP) supply lines are routed through a wheel well and not adequately protected from damage. This could cause a propane leak, which in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire or explosion causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will re-route the LP supply lines away from the wheel well.

On certain motorhomes built with an outside kitchen option, the outside kitchen was not installed correctly during manufacturing. In addition, the testing to insure the propane line does not have leaks was not performed. Propane gas in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire and/or an explosion causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will ensure proper installation of the propane line and will test the propane system for leaks.

On certain travel trailers equipped with Solera Smart Arm awnings, the awning may open with no action from an operator. If this happens while the vehicle is in motion, the awning may detach, creating a potential road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the awning controller.

On certain motorhomes equipped with a Norcold N306 mini refrigerator, the gas valve test port screw may be loose or missing. If the refrigerator was to be used on “Gas mode” and test port screw is loose or missing, propane gas could leak from the gas valve, which in the presence of an ignition source, could lead to a fire and/or an explosion, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will tighten the valve test port screw, or if the screw is missing, install one.

On certain travel trailers equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. Note: For more information about recalled fire extinguishers, please visit www.kidde.com.

On certain travel trailers, the sewer hose enclosure may be too close to the path of travel of the tires. The tire at maximum travel can contact the sewer hose enclosure, which could result in premature tire wear and the failure of a tire. A tire blowout would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will relocate the sewer hose enclosure.
