Issue: On certain RV trailers, the fabric for the patio awning may not be properly attached. As a result, the awning could detach and fall from the trailer. Safety Risk: An awning that falls from the trailer could create a risk of injury. An awning that falls from a moving vehicle could create road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: KZ RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect the fabric roll on the awning. It will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the quick disconnect fittings for the propane (LP) gas system may be defective. As a result, the fittings could crack and leak propane. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: KZ RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to replace the quick disconnect fittings on the propane system and perform a leak test.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the hitch coupler may not be fully welded. As a result, the hitch coupler could fail while driving. If this happens, the trailer could separate from the tow vehicle. Safety Risk: A trailer that separates from the tow vehicle can create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: KZ RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to inspect, and if necessary, replace the coupler.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the propane (LP) regulator could fail. If this happens, high-pressure propane could reach the appliances. Note: This recall only affects trailers equipped with a Winntec model 6020 propane regulator. Safety Risk: Unregulated propane pressure can create the risk of an appliance fire. Corrective Action: KZ RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer, to replace the propane (LP) regulator.

Issue: Certain motorhomes were built with an incorrectly sized circuit breaker for the microwave circuit. A 20-A circuit breaker was installed instead of a 15-A circuit breaker. Under certain conditions, the wiring could overheat and melt before the circuit breaker trips. Safety Risk: Wiring that melts or overheats could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: KZ RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to replace the 20-A circuit breaker with a 15-A circuit breaker.

On certain travel trailers, the liquid propane (LP) manifold may have been mounted too close to the axle tube. This could increase the risk of a propane leak, which in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire or explosion causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will relocate the LP manifold away from the axle.

On certain travel trailers equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly.
