Issue: Certain motorhomes were built with an incorrectly sized circuit breaker for the microwave circuit. A 20-A circuit breaker was installed instead of a 15-A circuit breaker. Under certain conditions, the wiring could overheat and melt before the circuit breaker trips. Safety Risk: Wiring that melts or overheats could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: KZ RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to replace the 20-A circuit breaker with a 15-A circuit breaker.

Issue: On certain travel trailers, the burners for inside kitchen cooktop may overheat during furnace operation. This could result in the cooktop surface becoming extremely hot. Safety Risk: A hot surface could increase the risk of injury and could create the risk of fire. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the inside kitchen cooktop.

On certain travel trailers equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. On certain travel trailers, some deadbolt locks could fail and lock the interior handle, preventing a person located inside the travel trailer from being able to exit when the door is locked. This could increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will replace affected deadbolt locks.
